30 December Bucket List Ideas

If you're not in the Christmas mood already - come on it's December 2nd people! - I thought I would put together a little blog post with some December/christmas/festive bucket list ideas, all about bits and pieces you can do to get that 'Rocking around the Christmas Tree' feeling with both friends, family or just by yourself... enjoy!

1. Put the christmas tree up
2. Go Ice Skating
3. Eat a minced pie
4. Have a Christmas movie marathon (I'm thinking Elf, Love actually and the Holiday)
5. Go Christmas shopping
6. Write your Christmas cards (or tweets if you're from the 21st century)
7. Organise Secret Santa
8. Go to the Christmas Light turn on
9. Go to the Fenwicks (or other retailers) christmas window reveal
10. Go to your local Christmas market
11. Make a gingerbread house
12. Bake a Yule Log
13. Listen to the Michael Bublé Christmas album on repeat
14. Watch Bridget Jones (the christmas one...)
15. Go get yourself a Starbucks or Costa christmas drink - try them all (YOLO)
16. Put tinsel in your hair like you just don't care! (shoutout to Kathryn for this one)
17. Buy a ridiculous Christmas jumper - I'm talking baubles, tinsel and flashing lights.
18. And whilst you're there grab yourself some Christmas PJs...
19. Make a Christmas Playlist (blog post coming sooooon...)
20. Go and see a Pantomime
21. Or The Nutcracker Ballet (one of my faves...)
22. Decorate the house with festive bits and pieces
23. Plan (or help your parents plan) Christmas dinner
24. Volunteer for local charities - especially important over the holiday season, e.g. Salvation Army, Crisis and Homeless UK.
25. Bake some gingerbread men and decorate with friends
26. Get some friends together for a Pre-Christmas party/movie night
27. Go for a Christmas Walk with your family
28. Put together and send a Samaritans Purse Christmas Box
29. Read a Christmas Book - my favourites are Polar Express by Chris Van Allburg and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (classic) - blog post coming soon...
30. Have a wrapping session - get that festive paper, ribbons and sellotape and get wrapping!

And there we have it... 30 ideas to get you in the festive spirit. Although all of the above are nice ideas, I would strongly encourage everyone to give volunteering a go over this holiday. Even if it is just making a Christmas Box for a child less fortunate than me however small a gesture, it is 100% worthwhile.

Happy Christmas people! (23 days to go!)

Lots of Christmas love, Katie xo
